We recently helped laser cut this mirrored vinyl for client Matt from Yelldesign who created this vine for Tropfest’s innagural Tropvine competition. The vine took two days to shoot and two weeks to prepare. Talk about dedication!
Matt says: “Tropfest’s theme was ‘Mirror’. I wanted to use the mirror itself to tell a story rather than rely on the reflection. After briefly considering using actual mirrors, I sourced mirrored vinyl from ebay, and was glad to have laser-cutting as a solution for pre-production.”

Laser cutting out of mirrored vinyl was a fun task. We love to help creative people with their big ideas. It means we get to experiment with materials we might have never used before!
We also felt the pressure here knowing that the vinyl was being used in a nationwide competition. Matt didn’t let the challenge a six second short clip though restrain his creativity. We’ve worked with Matt and the awesome folks at Yell Design in the past so it actually was quite easy to create something awesome. Collaborating and bouncing ideas off other creative thinkers is the best way to work!
