LASER CUT FASHION: SPRING COLLECTION OF 2017 BY GABRIELE COLANGELO

LASER CUT FASHION SPRING OF 2017
Laser cut fashion is part of the spring collection of the likes of Gabriele Colangelo. Laser cutting used to be reserved for haute couture designs. But as consumers began lusting for the technique, and the technology was made more readily available to manufacturers, it’s become commonplace to see laser-cut silk and leather in ready-to-wear runway collections. Where the runway goes, affordable fashion typically follows.
“Laser-cut” has become a buzzword in the world of industrial design and fashion. Many contemporary objects from computers to clothing have been touched by the process, and its popularity continues to grow the more we discover about it’s potential.
Gabriele Colangelo, a famous Italian designer, known for his collection of precise cultural stance, launched his Spring 2017 collection with Geometry was big on his agenda. According to VogueHe explored a zillion iterations of the rectangular shape with unrestrained gusto. Checks were laser cut and redesigned on wool gabardine. Grids were crossed by strips of two-tone wool and perforated with needle-punching techniques to create a larger check pattern. Colangelo has a cerebral, analytical design approach. His relentless play on experimentation is certainly compelling and shows a rational, intelligent sensibility.

BANANA REPUBLIC’S LASER CUTTING FASHION COLLECTION OF SPRING 2017

BANANA REPUBLIC’S LASER CUTTING FASHION
Laser cutting fashion is also a part of the Banana Republic’s Spring 2017 collection. Some of Banana Republic’s production is based in India, and after jetting off to Paris last Fall, this season the mega-brand, headed up by Senior VP of Design Michael Anderson, took a closer look at the lush visual vocabulary of places like Mumbai. According to Vogue, Anderson and his team were particularly taken with the intersection of old world and new technologies in India, applying that concept to designs in some nice ways. Take paisleys and woodblock-inspired prints, the latter gorgeous in a cobalt gown whose pleated skirt bore an up-to-there slit; there was also an off-shoulder top and skirt in steely blue whose liberal use of laser-cutting was inspired by traditional tilework.

LASER CUT FURNITURE – ELEGANT AND SOPHISTICATED DESIGNS

LASER CUT FURNITURE
Laser cut furniture is the new innovation of furniture design. Melbourne Laser Cutter has embraced the machines with creative enthusiasm. Laser cutters do bring impressive versatility to a wide range of applications. If designers want to experiment with creative ideas that need to be produced with engineering-grade plastics, wood, leather, metal, or even food, laser cutters are often the only appropriate tool. Most laser cutters, and their beefy plasma cutter brethren,
can produce objects much larger than standard 3-D prints in a much shorter time, and usually for a significantly lower cost.
Lasers haven’t sparked so much creative thinking since Luke Skywalker inspired a generation of kids to pretend that broomsticks could be lightsabers. These following are examples of laser cut furniture:

LASER CUT BUSINESS CARDS – STYLISH AND MODERN CARDS

LASER CUT BUSINESS CARDS
Laser cut business cards are a unique and modern way to represent yourself and your business. Today business cards are so ubiquitous that in some countries they are traded with no formality or consequence, serving as nothing more than an internationally recognized way to exchange contact information or a handy bit of paper on which to jot a note. Deemed as a small inconsequential piece of paper that is part of day to day meetings with people, the card is seldom considered more than its face value.
Today, cards should have the name of the cardholder, their title, the company, their location, and relevant contact information such as address, email, telephone and anything else you can customize and design of your liking. Cards are usually printed in black ink on white paper, though this varies by country and laser cut business cards are a sleek and stylish alternative to the boring black ink on white paper.

LASER CUT MINECRAFT – REAL LIFE SANDBOX GAME FOR ALL AGES

LASER CUT MINECRAFT
Laser cut minecraft is another creative art and innovation of using a laser cutter. But first, what is minecraft? Minecraft is a game where you dig (mine) and build (craft) different kinds of 3D blocks within a large world of varying terrains and habitats to explore. It’s a popular sandbox video game created and designed by Swedish game designer Markus “Notch” Persson, and later fully developed and published by Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft allow players to build with a variety of different cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat.
A sandbox game is which the player has been freed from traditional video game structure and direction, and instead chooses what, when, and how they want to approach the available content. The term alludes to a child’s sandbox without rules, with play based on open-ended choice. While some sandbox games may include building and creative activities, they are not required. Sandbox games generally employ an open world setting to facilitate the player’s freedom of choice.
So, why not recreate this video game in real life using a laser cutter? Here are some amazing results we found online:
